All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!

Everyone’s home is unique. When meeting new clients, the first thing we do, before we even put pencil to tracing paper, is get to know them and what makes them tick. This means asking the right questions and listening.

Home for Sian and John means family time together... and bikes. Busy working lives are complemented by weekends of triathlons and long bike rides. Apparently the number of bikes one person needs is N+1 and they all need to be kept in tip top condition.

John is an engineer and he loves to create and mend things. While Sian is an expert cyclist (once part of team GB, no less) she prefers to spend her leisure time in a more relaxed manner. The key spaces in this design are a large, secure workshop for john and an open kitchen, dining and social area. A connection between these to spaces allows Sian and John to enjoy their hobbies at the same time as being together.

With children growing up, going to university and having lives of their own, the house has to be adaptable.

A home is not static. We consider the current needs of the family alongside future needs to make sure that the design has longevity and remains relevant.
